Soirée's team is like a family. They
not only work together but enjoy playing together, too. Each
coordinator has their own individual personality and style,
but they all complement the Soirée vision and add to
the team with their dedication to the industry, professionalism
and expertise.
Molli
Barss
Molli graduated from the University of Oregon with a Bachelor
of Science in Marketing and Finance in 1994. She moved to Portland
that summer and fell into the special event industry when she
was hired as the Marketing Coordinator for a telecommunications
company and organized events for their sales and marketing department.
Molli then entered the Sports Marketing area when she was hired
as the Business Development Coordinator for Peter Jacobsen Productions,
where she was asked to assist in the production of the Greg
Norman Shark Shootout in California. Next, she accepted a position
at West Coast Event Productions as a Project Manager. It was
at West Coast that she realized she wanted to start her own
special event planning company. She was hired to work for Uptown
Casino Events and Raphael House running their events part-time
as she established Soirée in 1998. Although Soirée
still continues to produce all types of events, the company
grew to specialize in weddings and along with it, Molli's enjoyment
of the relationships she establishes with her clients. In 2002
Molli got married herself to a photographer and lives in Portland
with him and their two children. In what little spare time she
has, she enjoys spending it with her family and friends.
Krissa
Swan
While attending the University of Washington, Krissa discovered
her love of helping others achieve their dreams. For over two
years, she worked in an office that took reservations for special
events on the UW campus and soon realized she wanted to build
a career coordinating a variety of different events. Krissa
graduated in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications
and Comparative Religion and after taking some time to move
and get established in Portland, she joined Soirée and
instantly fell in love with the wedding industry. Krissa enjoys
building relationships with her clients and seeing their visions
come to life. While not in the office, she enjoys spending time
with her friends and family, cheering for the University of
Washington Huskies, reading and trying to catch up on the latest
movies.
Michelle
Golder
Michelle received her AA degree from Mt. Hood in 2001 and her
Bachelor of Science in Organizational Communication from the
University of Portland in 2004. She joined the Soirée
team in 2004 when she started as an intern and worked her way
to a full-time coordinator position. She currently continues
to work for Soiree as well as Clark College as their Community
Events Manager. Michelle has lived in Vancouver all of her life
and absolutely loves the Portland/Vancouver area. In her
spare time Michelle enjoys being with her family and two puppies,
Violet and Tucker, and when time allows, visiting her sister
and nieces in Australia.
Heidi
Tolentino
In 1995 Heidi graduated from Whitworth College with a degree
in International Relations. She earned her Master’s Degree
in Education from Lewis and Clark in 2000. Heidi started working
for Soirée at the advice of the ABC State Coordinator
who mentioned that Soirée is one of the best coordination
companies in Portland and that Molli would be the perfect person
to learn from. Fortunately, Soirée was in need
of additional assistance and Heidi became an intern helping
out with various projects. She worked her way up to becoming
a lead coordinator and continues her work with Soirée
because of their amazing team and commitment to excellence.
In Heidi’s spare time she is a teacher and enjoys spending
time with her husband Pat.
Suzanne
Taylor
After receiving her BA from Kenyon College and MBA from the
University of Florida, Suzanne spent five years in Management
Consulting. She recently transitioned to a Senior Project Manager
role with a local software development company and loves putting
her project managing skills to work in the wedding and special
event industry. She has helped friends and family plan many
special events and in the summer of 2006, Suzanne joined the
Soirée team. She is married to her wonderful husband,
Sean. She is the middle child of five and enjoys hiking,
camping, cross country skiing and wine tasting.
