First, we want to tell you how excited we are to be getting married! We realize having a destination wedding requires significant effort and we are so thankful that many of you are planning to attend.

We’ve pulled together the information on this page to help with all the details. If there is anything we have missed, however, please don’t hesitate to ask us! We’re including our contact info below for those of you who don’t have it. Additionally, we will be updating this site occasionally as we plan other events for the weekend. GETTING TO SANIBEL ISLAND

For those of you who have never visited this part of Florida, the two islands where we will be spending the weekend are Sanibel and Captiva Island. The islands themselves are located just north of Naples and south of Tampa and are small enough that it is easy to get from any point on one island to another without too much trouble.

The closest airport to Sanibel is Ft. Myers, Florida (airport code RSW). The airport is located approximately 25 miles from Sanibel but expect the drive to take 30-45 minutes, depending on traffic.

The other possible airports to fly into are Miami International or Tampa International. Both airports are 160 miles from Sanibel – so the drive will be closer to three hours from either one.
Although we are planning on providing transportation from the ceremony at 'Tween Waters Inn to/from the reception, you will most likely want a rental car for getting around on the island the rest of the weekend.

Our ceremony is going to be on the beach at the 'Tween Waters Inn so it will definitely be the most convenient place to stay.

We have negotiated a discounted rate at ‘Tween Waters. You can get this rate by calling the reservations department at 800.223.5865 and requesting the group rate for the Kelleher/LaBarca wedding. Following are the rates:

Water-View Hotel Rooms - $225 per night
Efficiencies – $250.00 per night
Bayside Suites - $275 per night
Court Yard Suites - $300 per night
2 Bedroom Pool - $395 per night
2 Bedroom Cottage - $435 per night
3 Bedroom Bayside Suite - $485 per night

Another option is the South Seas Resort, although this may cost a little more as we were not able to secure a discount there as we were at ‘Tween Waters:

The Bubble Room is an interesting experience and a famous spot on Captiva. For favorite bars, try the Mucky Duck on the water on Captiva, McT’s Shrimp House or Doc Ford’s Rum Bar & Grill – a sportsbar.
